Peaceful Protest by North County Resistance Group Continues – No Kings IV, Oct. 17; Various Locations Throughout Tillamook County

Posted on October 15, 2026 by Patty Rinehart

Peaceful Protest by North County Resistance Group; Indivisible Tillamook Coast Action No Kings IV in Tillamook, Pacific City Oct. 17th

The North County Resistance (NCR) group will be meeting up for the No Kings IV event in Manzanita. This No Kings IV event will be held on October 17 from noon to 2 PM along Highway 101 at the top of Laneda and Manzanita Avenues. The last No Kings event in this area garnered 750 participants. NCR hopes this demonstration will encourage people to get out and vote in the mid-term elections. NCR hope you will join us for this event. Please bring your signs and or good spirits to encourage all of us to vote.

The North County Resistance (NCR) encourages you to bring a chair if you need one and to check the weather to see what you need to stay comfortable. Come when you can and stay as long as you can. Elections in the United States have always been free and fair. NCR wants to keep our elections this way. People all across the country will be out demonstrating for free and fair elections. Please join all of us to show your support.

Lots to think about. A woman at North County Resistance in Nehalem asked me where our group will be when the Majority of the House and Senate changes hands. Will we be back in Nehalem the following week? Will we wait to see what the House and Senate do with the situation our President has left us in? Will we give them a few weeks to get organized? What do you say? I would really like to hear from you about this.

Many of you know another NO KINGS rally is coming up-NO KINGS IV this coming weekend, October 17. North County Resistance is taking their protest back to Manzanita for this event. We will be meeting along Highway 101 at the top of Laneda and Manzanita Avenues from noon to 2 PM. We are looking at having fair elections across this land. We are looking at not having any interference by Trump or any of his hacks. We’ve received our voter’s pamphlets this past week and look forward to receiving our ballots soon. North Coast Resistance is requesting you to vote, vote early, and rather than mailing your ballot, put your signed ballot into a ballot box. The ballot box in the area is located outside the Manzanita City Hall. If you don’t know where your local ballot box is placed get in touch with me.

We hope you will be joining us for this protest. We have extra signs, but if you have your own, please bring them. If you need a chair to sit in for part or all the event, please bring one. If you have friends, please bring them. Costumes are always a hit. Please do not park vehicles in business parking lots in the immediate area. Also waiting for you will be a table or two with information about NO KINGS. We will also have a table from our local Food Bank and would love if you would stop by with food or checks to help our local area. We know it is not always possible for many to physically show up but just send us your name and we will count you in for the protest. First names are fine. We know many people are dedicated to this peaceful resistance and believe all can make a difference.

Our crew for this event will be wearing yellow or orange vests. If you feel comfortable, please introduce yourselves to them. We will have a table set up with information about protests and your involvement. North Coast Resistance will have people in vests to help you cross both Laneda and Manzanita Avenues. Please work with them as crossing in this area can be dangerous. Your safety is very important to us.

If you find yourself with questions at the event, please find someone with an orange or yellow vest and they will try to get you an answer. North Coast Resistance has never had a problem at a NO KINGS Event. 35 people volunteered their time on October 17 to keep up this record.

Thanks for listening and be sure to get in touch if you have questions!

Best,

Patty
