Dredging of the federal navigation channel near the Port of Garibaldi is scheduled to begin August 20 and continue into early November. Work will generally take place during the larger ebb tide each day.
Boaters are asked to use caution when transiting the area and be aware of the dredge, floating pipeline, anchors and other equipment in and near the navigation channel. The dredge can be contacted on Marine VHF-FM Channel 68 for coordination when transiting the work area.
The Port of Garibaldi is also scheduled to begin dredging within the boat basin after September 15. Additional information regarding the Port’s dredging schedule and impacts to marina users will be provided as we get closer to the start date.
