The Rockaway Beach Kite Festival opened in true Oregon style … just wait five minutes and the weather will change. From no breeze and overcast to rain. Then the sun came out, the wind picked up and the big kites lifted up in the sky!
The Rockaway Beach Wayside was full of wonderful vendors. Locals and guests wandered around the Wayside in their “Oregon bikinis” (hoodies and shorts), laughing, shopping and having an overall good time.
The Beach was packed as people wandered around talking to the kiters and taking pictures and videos.
