Rockaway Beach launches Tillamook County into the season with the annual Tree Lighting at the Wayside on Friday Nov. 29th. The festivities start at 5:45 pm with Santa’s arrival via Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad at 6pm.
Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, the City of Rockaway Beach and the Rockaway Beach Business Association (RBBA) present the Annual Tree Lighting Event on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Santa and his elf will disembark the train at the Train Depot in Rockaway Beach and head over to his RED TENT, where he will greet all the kids and families.
There will be a tent where they can write letters to Santa as well.
RBBA will be serving free hot cocoa and cookies.
Sing Christmas carols along with the Salty Strings while waiting for the big WOW.
Public Works will turn off the lamp lights in the Wayside and the countdown begins!
Bring your homemade ornaments to hang on the tree. There will be a tent with chairs for people who cannot stand for very long.
Oh, and don’t forget your flashlight!
Stores will be open late, for Black Friday shopping after the Tree Lighting.
Join the City of Rockaway Beach and the Rockaway Beach Business Association as we bring in the holiday.
