Thomas J. Fiorelli Announces Run for Tillamook County Commissioner

Posted on February 20, 2024 by Editor

Fellow Residents of Tillamook County:

I am excited to announce my candidacy for County Commissioner #1 and eager to embark on this journey alongside each and every one of you. Thank you to all who have supported and encouraged me to take this bold step.

My professional background as a land use and development consultant, coupled with degrees in regional planning and public administration, equips me with the skills and expertise to tackle the challenges facing our county. With over 20 years of experience, including hands-on work in commercial and industrial construction, I understand the value of hard work and the importance of delivering results.

I believe that our community thrives when we come together, set aside our differences, and focus on our shared goals. In today’s political landscape, we need fewer professional politicians learning to be policymakers, and more qualified professionals willing to serve as politicians.

At 39 years of age, I represent a new generation of leadership, bringing fresh perspectives and a dedication to collaborative governance. Over the past three years, I have been privileged to call Tillamook County home, building meaningful relationships with our cities, community organizations, businesses, and leaders throughout the county.

My journey has been one of service and dedication. I currently serve on the Tillamook County Transportation District Board of Directors, where I remain committed to improving transportation access for all residents. As the former Housing Coordinator for Tillamook County Community Development, I had the honor of working alongside multiple partners to bring new programs and funding opportunities to our county, including the creation of new housing options for working families.

I am fully dedicated to the important work ahead. My business has assembled a talented team to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible results for our clients while I embark on this new chapter of public service.

I am committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency. I will always be forthcoming about my professional commitments and will recuse myself from any decisions that may present conflicts of interest.

In the coming months, I look forward to engaging with each of you, listening to your concerns, and sharing my vision for Tillamook County’s future. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant community that works for all of us.”
