The Tillamook County Library is proud to announce that Myriah Mathews has been selected as the winner of the library’s 2026 Library Card Design Contest. Their design, an inviting beachscape featuring books and local fauna was chosen from submissions by local artists of all ages across the community.
The contest invited artists to create an original design that captures what makes Tillamook County special. A panel of judges evaluated the entries based on creativity, artistic quality, and how well the design would appear on a smaller format library card.
“With over 40 designs submitted, we were blown away by the artistic talent of our community.” said Don Allgeier, Library Director. “The warmth and whimsy of Myriah’s design really stood out.”
The new library card design will begin circulating in late June.
This design contest is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to empower residents and build a better community through learning, knowledge, and inspiration.
