Tillamook County Transportation District/”The Wave” will require all riders to wear masks effective Monday, May 4th

Posted on April 29, 2020 by Editor

Tillamook County Transportation District (TCTD) thanks everyone who has chosen to use “The Wave” public transportation services throughout these uncertain times. The District continues being committed to providing public transportation services to ensure everybody has transportation to and from their jobs, grocery shopping, and medical appointments.
Throughout this pandemic the District’s primary goal has been the safety of its drivers and bus riders. To accomplish this goal, TCTD has established a COVID-19 Response Plan to implement the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) social/physical distancing and other guidelines intended to mitigate the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

Effective Monday, May 4, 2020 the District will require all passengers to wear face masks. These masks may be manufactured masks or cloth facial coverings. In addition, the District has cordoned off seating on all buses to implement physical distancing. Limiting the number of seats on buses may result in the buses being at maximum seating capacity. In the event that a rider is unable to board a bus that’s filled at maximum capacity, the District will schedule on-demand tripper routes during the busy times of the day to get passengers to where they need to go.
TCTD will continue updating its COVID Response plan. For more information and COVID-19 updates please visit the TCTD website at www.tillamookbus.com
