The Tillamook Police Department (TPD) has officially earned its initial law enforcement agency accreditation from the Northwest Accreditation Alliance (NWAA). The accreditation was presented to Chief Nick Troxel and Executive Assistant Lacey Larson by NWAA Executive Director Scott Hayes (remote) and Mayor Aaron Burris during a ceremony at the Tillamook City Council on Monday, March 3, 2025. This achievement marks a significant milestone in TPD’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in law enforcement and public safety. The accreditation process involved a rigorous evaluation of the department’s operations, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with NWAA’s professional standards.
