The Tillamook PUD Board of Directors has selected Pedro Sandoval Carrillo as the recipient of the 2026 College Work Program.
A recent graduate of Nestucca High School, Pedro plans to attend Tillamook Bay Community College to earn an associate’s degree in business before transferring to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in sports management.
Throughout high school, Pedro was actively involved in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service. He participated in soccer, basketball, and track and field, earning a varsity letter in soccer and four-year varsity letters in both basketball and track. He also served as Class President and was involved in band, drama, National Honor Society, and volunteer efforts throughout the Nestucca community.
Pedro will work at Tillamook PUD during school breaks while attending college over the next four years.
Tillamook PUD is pleased to welcome Pedro to the team.
Since 1965, Tillamook PUD has offered the College Work Program to senior students of Tillamook County High Schools who are seeking higher education after graduation. The Board of Directors selects participants based on their academic achievements, leadership qualities, and future aspirations. Chosen students gain work experience during summer and school breaks. To date, the program has seen participation from 67 students.
