Trout for PUD Board

Posted on September 22, 2018

We encourage North County Residents to vote for Barbara Trout to continue to represent us on the PUD Board of Directors. Barbara has many years of experience on the Board and has been effective in keeping our electric rates low and the reliability of the system high. An article in last week’s Headlight Herald discusses how our electric rates have been stable and how the PUD has worked hard to maintain these rates even as the Bonneville Power Administration(BPA) raises rates to mitigate salmon recovery. Our KWH rate of 7.33 cents is impressive and Barbara has had an integral influence on keeping these rates stable. The reliability of the PUD system has been impressive lately and is improving every year.

Barbara has also been instrumental in instituting many PUD programs including the Community Grant Program, and changes to the Customer Assistance Program that helps less fortunate customers pay their electric bill. Barbara’s community service resume outside the PUD is also impressive. Over the years, through her efforts tens of thousands of dollars have been raised to support community service projects throughout Tillamook County. Experience is important, we urge you to vote to re-elect Barbara Trout to the PUD Board of Directors.
