Valley Medical Services of Kalispell, Montana, have brought a mobile trailer to Tillamook county to offer lab based RT PCR Covid-19 testing for travel. As travel destinations begin to open up and vaccinations continue, airlines and areas are requiring proof of negative Covid-19 tests within 72-hours of travel. Valley Medical services is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays by appointment. Test results are reported within 1-2 days after the lab receives the specimen. Specimens are shipped priority overnight via FedEx to meet the requirements by airlines to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of a flight. As more people are vaccinated, there will more travel, and rural area residents can find it challenging to get a Covid-19 test prior to travel. Lab based Covid-19 Antibody Testing that reports the level of antibody response for both the IGG and IGM antibodies. This allows a person to know how strong of an antibody response they have especially after having a positive instant antibody test. Results are reported 2-3 days after the lab receives the specimen.
Vaccine Response Testing- detects the antibodies after vaccine administration to determine if the vaccine was successful, with results in 2-3 days.
Instant antibody testing which is extremely important to have done prior to vaccine administration to help minimize any kind of adverse reaction as it is the laboratories consulting physicians recommendation that if a person still has antibodies from a previous Covid-19 infection they do not get the vaccine.
