Volunteer Emergency Corps of Nehalem Bay Honors Beaston, Kuestner

Posted on April 27, 2019 by Editor

The Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay named John Beaston and Linda Kuestner as its Volunteers of the Year, during the organization’s annual meeting held Apr. 22 in Manzanita.
Corps President Linda Kozlowski said Beaston, “brought and generously shared amazing professional and sophisticated emergency communication skills to the organization.” She added, “He gives tirelessly of his time to help educate, train and most importantly actually create the infrastructure allowing us to drill effectively.”

Kozlowski said Kuestner, the newest member of the group’s board of directors, “brings her extraordinary experience in technical support to our new information system. She has a way of listening quietly and coming up with an innovative, easy solution to any of our many difficult challenges.”
The Emergency Volunteer Corps began naming Volunteer or Volunteers of the Year in 2012. The names of past honorees are on display at the Nehalem Bay Fire and Rescue District station in Bayside Gardens.
