Where’s Gordon? All the best in your recovery … An Update …

Posted on April 8, 2024 by Editor

Dear Gordon,
I had been missing your excellent reports and was about to write the editors about the unusually long spell since your last posting when I decided to check the recent report from March 29 which said, ‘ Weather and some other news”. Ahh…

I’m very glad to hear that your prostrate cancer was diagnosed early. I wish you the best for a full recovery.

I’m 70 and ask all my friends if they are keeping up with their PSA tests or to get started. I had a lot of personal motivation because my great grandfather, father, and three brothers got the dreaded family male disease.

I was diagnosed in 2017 and had a successful prostatectomy five years ago. Two of my brothers were also successfully treated. My father’s was too far along and he passed away at 72. My dear brother, who was diagnosed as age 50, died at 72 as well.

After moving back to Oregon in 2020 it took me about a year to find the Pioneer and your excellent reports. In this day of smart-phone weather I love your in-depth reports that tell me why my barometer is going up and down and inform me on the big picture here on the north Oregon coast.

Thank you for all that you do. Be well in recovery.
Yours,
Bruce & Carmen Sweetman
Nehalem, OR

REPLY – From Gordon McCraw – 4/8/24: Thank you sir…for the kind words and the background that reassures me that all will be well. I still need the results of the lymph nodes but with all the prayers…I am expecting a clear slate…again thanks…I will return down the road.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Thanks so much Bruce for reaching out, and Gordon had let me know that he was on the “healing” road, and appreciated the healing thoughts and prayers. If any Pioneer readers “Gordon’s Fan Club” would like his mailing address to send good wishes … send us an email or message us on social media 😉
We are all looking forward to regular Gordon Updates – coming soon ….
