PORTLAND AIR NATIONAL GUARD (PANG) BASE, Ore. — The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing will conduct routine F-15 night training missions September 5-8, 2017.
Night training allows the Citizen-Airmen pilots based in Portland and Vancouver to stay current with mandatory Air Force requirements. These missions are conducted monthly as they provide essential training in the use of night vision goggles and aircraft maneuvering in nighttime flying scenarios.
Flights will depart from and land at the Portland International Airport. In an effort to foster communication with the community and the Port of Portland, training flights will conclude each evening before 11:00 p.m.
