Zella May Elliott was born on August 21, 1955 in Coos Bay, Oregon, and passed away on May 26, 2026 in Tillamook, Oregon, with family by her side.
One of Zella’s greatest joys her job as a cashier at Safeway where she worked for many years. She also enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, crocheting, needle work, and reading. Zella will be remembered for being a woman of great determination, she overcame an incredible number of challenges in her life by sheer will-power and grit, despite the many obstacles she faced.
Zella dearly loved her family, and she will be deeply missed by each one of them. Though preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Shirley Zimmerman,and her older sister Beverly Jean Varner, Zella leaves behind her loving husband, John L. Elliott; son James Elliott; step-son John E.L. (Dawn) Elliott, granddaughter Caitlin, and grandson Ty; her sister Tina (Jeff) King, and brother Irwin Zimmerman.
