TILLAMOOK HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM HEADED TO STATE FINAL FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY; MATCH-UP AGAINST MARIST CATHOLIC SATURDAY 6/6 IN SALEM

Posted on June 3, 2026 by Editor

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND!

The Tillamook Cheesemakers Baseball team is headed to the State Championship!
With a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Henley in the State Semifinals, the boys punched their ticket to Saturday’s championship game.
This team continues to show incredible grit, determination, and heart. We couldn’t be more proud.
Thank you to our families, fans, alumni, and the entire Tillamook community for your unwavering support throughout this incredible postseason run.
One more game. One more opportunity.
GO MOOKS!!

The Tillamook High School baseball team will play for the state 4A title on Saturday June 6th at 7:30 pm at Roto Rooter/Volcanoes Stadium, 6700 Field Of Dreams Way Northeast, Keizer.  See link below for tickets. https://events.hometownticketing.com/boxoffice/osaa/L2VtYmVkL2FsbA%3D%3D

Here’s the official recap from OSAA:

No. 12 Tillamook 3, No. 1 Henley 1 (9 innings) – Tillamook pushed over two unearned runs with two outs in the top of the ninth inning – on RBI singles from Lakota Navarre and Kevin Hurlimann – to stun the top-seeded Hornets. Jakoby Goss started for the Mooks and went 5.2 innings of scoreless ball. He was relieved by Wrigley Percy and he held Henley at bay until the bottom of the seventh inning, when an RBI fielder’s choice knotted the game at 1-1. Corbin Hamilton pitched into the ninth for Henley and was brilliant, but was the hard-luck loser after the two-out error in the ninth opened the door for the go-ahead runs. Henley loaded the bases in the bottom of the frame, but could not score, as Percy’s struck out the side to secure the win. “This was an absolute gut check game,” said Tillamook coach Travis Moncrief. “Every inning we would bend a little but would not break!”
