(NEWPORT, OR) – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding two public meetings to discuss the commercial black and blue rockfish and nearshore fisheries. The meetings will be held in person with virtual or phone-in options Sept. 2 in Tillamook and Sept. 3 in Port Orford.
ODFW commercial fishery managers will give an update on federal management and stock assessments and review the 2026 commercial fishery. The agenda also includes:
- Federal management and stock assessment update.
- Review of 2026 fishery.
- Options for setting 2027 bi-monthly vessel catch limits.
- Input from industry and other interested parties.
Both meetings are held 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with virtual options on Microsoft Teams from your computer, tablet, or smart phone.
