I’ve been thinking a lot about what a strange world we seem to be living in.
I imagine myself and my wife sitting at the dinner table and I say to my wife, “We have to win in November, or we’re not going to have Pennsylvania. They’ll change the name. They’re going to change the name of Pennsylvania.”
I’m sure if I were ever to say such a thing, her jaw would drop and her eyes would open wide. I imagine she would say, “What? That’s crazy! Who is they? Why would they want to change the name of Pennsylvania? How could they change the name? I think we need to make an appointment for you with a mental health professional.”
On February 16, 2024, Donald Trump stated that very same thing in a 72-minute speech to the NRA in Pennsylvania. The crowd cheered. They think he should be elected president next election.
Where has our collective intelligence and good sense gone to?
