Kyler’s Big Heart Benefit Concert Sept. 7th, featuring Jacquie Roar, at Garibaldi Event Tent; Tickets Going Fast!

Posted on August 22, 2024 by Editor

The Kyler’s Big Heart Benefit Concert will be held on September 7, 2024 at the Port of Garibaldi. Headlining this event is country singer Jacquie Roar. Jacquie is a family friend of Dennis and Amanda Cavitt. From gracing the stage at the Oregon Jamboree to sharing it with music legends like Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride,
Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, and more, Jacquie Roar has tirelessly carved her name into the music industry. Her journey finally ignited when she received the call to participate in Season 24 of America’s reality singing competition, The Voice. Making her national debut, Jacquie Roar delivered a stunning rendition of “Here for the Party” by
Gretchen Wilson, capturing the attention of all four coaches with a “four-chair turn.”
Jacquie’s journey through the competition was marked by her determination, ultimately landing her a commendable 4th place finish in the finale of 2023. Opening for Jacquie is Scott Casey and the Gentleman Bandits. Doors open at 5PM and music starts at 5:30PM. Food will be provided by Patrick and Amanda King of Country Squire Kitchen.

May 29th, 2024 Kyler Warren Cavitt passed away unexpectedly from heart related complications. Kyler was a healthy 28 year old man, who had a great deal of life yet to live. Kyler had no previous medical issues, but died of complications of an enlarged heart. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Sudden cardiac death in seemingly healthy people under age 35 is rare. It is more common in males than in females. Cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young adults. One in 50,000 young adults die each year”. This event is a benefit to establish a foundation to increase heart awareness by education information, donations to local emergency responders for increase in training on the signs of heart issues and new equipment. The goal is to have an annual event to bring awareness to this issue. All profits will go to the foundation. Business sponsors for this event include: Visit Tillamook Coast, Pacific Edge Espresso, Five Rivers Assisted Living, Scott Casey Productions.  If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please reach out to Cynthia Casey 503-812-3861. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Tickets are $24, kids 4-17 are $12, under 3 are free. There will be food, wine and beer available to purchase. Kyler was a person of great kindness. He was the first born with two younger sisters and was the definition of the ‘big brother protector’. His family was his anchor and compass for his direction in life. Kyler was a high school athlete, gamer, outdoorsman and fantastic cookie baker. He had just started a career in carpentry in Arizona when he passed away. He is survived by his mother Gengee Ramirez, his father Dennis Cavitt, his sisters Kayla & Kitt Cavitt, his stepfather Jose Inez Ramirez, his stepmother Amanda Cavitt, his grandparents Kenneth Smith, Bob & Carol Cavitt, and Linda Wall. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed, but his impact on so many lives will live on. Kyler was an organ donor, and he was able to impact and donate to over 30 people, some were international. Please join in the benefit concert to keep the kindness going in Kyler’s honor.
