Tillamook County Fair Readies for “Let Freedom Ring” – August 9th – 12th

Posted on July 25, 2023 by Editor

The Tillamook County Fair is around the corner – four full days of fun August 9th through 12th! With a little something for everyone, this year’s fair is not to be missed. Open 10:00 am – 10:00 pm daily, this year’s Fair theme is “Let Freedom Ring”.
The center of the fair is the show ring where dozens of 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) participants show their animals daily. Be sure to check out the general exhibits in the main hall and visit the animals in the barns. The Tillamook County Fair’s carnival area opens at noon each day, with a variety of rides and games for kids big and small. Back by popular demand, Rainier Amusements will be offering “All You Can Ride” wristbands for $30 if purchased online (or at the Fair office, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm) by Tuesday Aug 8th. Ride wristbands will be available for $40 during the Fair.

Admission tickets and carnival ride wristbands are available now at TillamookFair.com

Pari-Mutuel Horse Racing will again be providing four days of racing excitement, with races starting around 1:00 pm daily, Wednesday through Saturday.
Brad’s World Reptiles will be a fun focal point in Fair Acres, along with some of the favorite kids activities like Farmer For A Day, the Old Iron Club, and educational displays from local school districts.
The Tillamook County Fair’s Courtyard stage hosts free entertainment for fair-goers each day, with Brad’s World Reptiles demonstrations, ice cream tasting contests, Godfrey the Magician, Circus Luminescence, musical acts, and more!
The Fair’s Concert Series kicks off on the Wednesday August 9th with American country acapella group Home Free. Thursday’s night concert showcases Petty Fever, a Tom Petty Tribute band. And rounding out the concert series Friday is rising country star Elvie Shane. All concerts are free with your Fair admission. Concerts are held in the Averill Arena Grandstands starting at 8:00 pm Wednesday through Friday.
Of course, you don’t want to miss the world famous Pig-N-Ford races, happening at 5:30 pm each night in the Grandstands. Saturday night culminates the end of the Fair with the annual Demolition Derby at 7:30 pm.

And what would a Fair be without food?! From coffee, elephant ears, corn dogs, and burgers…to pasta, tacos, Philly cheesesteaks, and deep fried Twinkies, you’ll never be hungry. Come for the food, stay for the fun!
The Tillamook County Fair runs Aug. 9-12, 10 am-10 pm each day. Admission Tickets and Carnival Ride Wristbands are on sale now at TillamookFair.com
