After years of dedicated service to the people of Tillamook County, we congratulate Sergeant Steve Berger on his well-earned retirement from the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office.
Steve’s commitment to serving our community began long before he became a full-time employee. He volunteered with the Tillamook County Search and Rescue team from 2011 through 2016, giving countless hours to help those in need during some of the county’s most challenging incidents.
In 2015, Steve continued his commitment to public service by volunteering as a Reserve Deputy before being hired as a Corrections Deputy on November 9, 2015. Through his professionalism, strong work ethic, and steady leadership, he earned a promotion to Corrections Sergeant on February 16, 2018.
Throughout his career, Steve has been a respected leader, mentor, and teammate. Whether guiding new staff, supporting his fellow deputies, or ensuring the safe operation of our Corrections Division, he consistently demonstrated integrity, dependability, and a genuine commitment to serving others.
Steve, thank you for your years of dedicated service, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office and the community we serve. We wish you and your family all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter.
Congratulations on your retirement—you’ve earned it!
